Friday, August 15, 2014 - 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Join staff members from the Wolf Education & Research Center, located an hour’s drive from Hells Gate State Park, and learn about the gray wolf and its habitat in the Northern Rocky Mountains.

Wolf Anatomy, Physiology and Behavior 101 (or simply: What Makes a Wolf a Wolf?)

Dig into the Centers traveling wolf box and learn about things wolves have like their fur, paws, eyes, nose, ears, teeth  and how they walk. Investigate their differences and similarities to coyotes. Consider what wolves eat and how they select their prey. Wonder why wolves howl at the moon? Listen as many myths about wolves are debunked.

Class meets at the Discovery Center at 2:00pm. Interactive and suitable for all ages.
